About the Department

The University of Nebraska at Kearney's teacher education department has been the backbone of the educational system since its beginning as Nebraska State Normal School in 1905. More than likely, if you were educated in Nebraska, your teachers, coaches, principals or superintendent have education credentials from 体育菠菜大平台. This history of educating Nebraska's educators brings an unmatched reputation and legacy that our graduates take with them to their schools and throughout their careers.

Here at 体育菠菜大平台, students get in the classroom early and often, and our close partnership with Kearney and area schools gives students numerous opportunities to interact in both early practicums and student teaching experiences. We know the value of hands-on learning and we are here to guide you in these field experiences. Teaching is indeed a calling. At 体育菠菜大平台, we can help you make a difference in the lives of students – ultimately making a big difference in the world today and tomorrow.

“If I had questions, especially the first couple of years I taught, I emailed some of my former professors and they responded. It’s pretty awesome to have that support system even after you leave.”
